On February 9, 2024, the Standards and Metrology Department of Qatar Standardization Organization (QS) issued notification No. G/TBT/N/QAT/665, soliciting opinions on the proposed technical specifications for food shelf life. This technical specification involves specific and necessary shelf life requirements for local and imported foods for direct human consumption or after production or preparation. The products involved are all foods (ICS code: 67.040). Corresponding shelf life setting requirements are formulated for different categories of products. . The technical specifications are intended to take effect 6 months from the date of approval.
Time for soliciting opinions Feedback deadline: 60 days from the date of notification.
